Each generation has a particular toy that defines them. From dolls unearthed in prehistoric archeological sites to the present generation of high-tech toys, children all over the world enjoyed their childhood playing with them. Contemporary toys are developed to incorporate learning and development of the child. In many ways, toys provide immense joy among children worldwide.

Dolls of all types figured in history. Ancient Egyptian children played with dolls made from stone, pottery and wood. Ancient Roman children played with dolls made from wax or terracotta. Ancient Greek boys played with toy bows and arrows. As technology advanced, toys become more complex. At the same time, since cognitive behaviorists recognized the importance of incorporating play in the development of the child, toys were created to encourage creativity among children. Some examples are Lego blocks popularized in the 80s and Play-Doh.

Today’s generation saw the development of high-tech toys such as moving toy vehicles, animated and talking version of dolls and action figures. There are toys that also encourage physical activities among children such as hula hoops, balls, jump ropes, and Frisbees. Who could ignore the ubiquitous development of video games? Nintendo introduced the first home video game in 1983.

Freaky Flickers is the toy for the current generation because it combines the concept of dolls or action figures with active play. More than dolls or action figures of past generations, children are excited over Freaky Flickers because of its trend setting design and color. Hey Freakstars, it’s the Freak Squad just checkin’ in after a great second day at the Western Fair. The fair was awesome with rides, cotton candy, music and of course the Freaky Flicker Squad. All of the kids loved the Freaky Flickers games we played with them and were begging not to stop playing!

Freaky Flickers – Sept 21st Beta launch

Freaky Flickers are staged to release a Beta test of the Freaky Flicker world is going to work out well. We will start with choose a Flicker to play with, 3 areas/locations/screens of the Flicker world, the store and 3 classic games with a Freaky Flicker twist (Concentration, Blitz-it and Begemmed) we need to add sound to the world then test it thoroughly before we move forward. We want to make sure everyone’s first impression is a positive one. Then we will make weekly releases of games and other more advanced locations.

We are shooting for a September 21st Beta launch stay turned things are going to get a little freaky

In the outrageous lab of the eccentric Doctor Frederick Flick a curious discovery has just been made…..

Doctor Flick was working diligently on his new creation – an amazing new rubber compound with a bouncile Rating of over a thousand gigasplats- when he noticed something bizarre in his petrie dish. Focusing his microscope on the eerie event he discovered the weirdest, wackiest, most-off-the-wall mini-world he had ever seen! What’s more, oddball world seemed to be inhabited by some of the freakiest critters he had ever laid eyes on like Fur-balls and Oddballs, Squawkers, and Munchers, Aquanauts and Uglies, just to name a few. These microscopic critters were spinning and sliding and rocking and blocking and bombing and bouncing and generally flying all over the streets of their freaky little town. Some were in groups and some were alone. Some were friendly and some were mean, but they all seemed to be having the time of their lives. Just Flick accidently spilt some of his new bouncy rubber into the dish-and kersplat!!! Suddenly, Out of nowhere, the freaky scene began to grow. The little critters seemed to be absorbing the special Rubber compound into their bodies as they grew, and each flicker seemed to be fashioning themselves a Special ‘gear’ out of the rubber to help them bounce around. And then, just like that, they weren’t so little any more! Now the little critters were FREAKY FLICKERS!!!

Can you invent a “Freaky Flickers” game?

We came up with many official games you can play with Freaky Flickers but the coolest things about Freak Flicker are you can invent your own games to play with them.

Post your new game idea in the comment section for the whole world to see. Imagine you inventing a game that kids all over the world are playing. We may even make it a official Freaky Flicker game

HOW TO SET UP THE GAME:

Find a wall to play against. Draw a square on the ground about one metre away from the wall. This is called the ‘space pad’

READY TO PLAY!

Each player gets 4 turns to launch a Flicker from the Space Pad using their best flicking technique. The simple aim is to flick your Flicker so that it lands as close to the wall as possible. The closer you get to the wall the more points you will earn. For example, if after every player has had their turn your Flicker is the closest then you get 4000 points. The second closest gets 3000, the third closest 2000 and fourth closest Flicker gets 1000 points. Anyone further back than that gets zero. If you play with all the ‘UFO’s’ team you will have a better chance of winning.

The winner is the one with the most points at the end of the game. If playing for keeps the winner takes one Flicker and one Battlecard from each opponent.

As a super-skillful variation try and play on some STAIRS, so you can climb!
